Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton was clearly caught off-guard during an event for campaign donors on Wednesday night when a Black Lives Matter protester demanded she answer for the justice policies of her husband’s presidency.
“Do you want to hear the facts or do you just want to talk?” Clinton responded during the exchange, in a tone that has been criticized by some as dismissive.
At the event, held at a private home in Charleston, Black Lives Matter activist Ashley Williams quietly walked to the front of the crowd holding a sign that read: “We have to bring them to heel.”
The encounter was caught on camera.

In this clip of the I’m Black, He’s Mexican Podcast Arizona Verse & Soul Papo wax philosophically about how periods are a huge problem in this nation when it comes to the ability of being a president.
On the heels of Pharrell stamping his endorsement for Hillary Clinton as the next American president, one rapper has expressed feelings on the contrary. In a sit-down with DJ Whoo Kid, T.I. divulged his thoughts on Clinton as the potential 45th commander-in-chief, remarking that he was not here for a woman being elected.
“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

In this clip of the I’m Black, He’s Mexican Podcast Arizona Verse & Soul Papo wax philosophically about Bernie Sanders winning all the focus groups & online polls, but the media is saying Hillary won the debate.
Who “won” a debate is inherently subjective. The idea of winning a debate necessarily entails a goal to be achieved. What this goal is, therefore, says as much about the person judging its achievement as the goal itself. Pundits are ostensibly supposed to judge whether or not a candidate said what “the voters” want to hear. But what ends up happening, invariably, is they end up judging whether or not the candidate said what they think voters wanted to hear. This, after all, is why pundits exist, to act as a clergy class charged with interpreting people’s own inscrutable opinions for them. The chasm between what the pundits saw and what the public saw was even bigger than usual last night.
Bernie Sanders by all objective measures "won” the debate. Hands down. I don’t say this as a personal analysis of the debate; the very idea of “winning” a debate is silly to me. I say this because based on the only relatively objective metric we have, online polls and focus groups, he did win. And it’s not even close.
